Salted Caramel Mocha Latte
Close to perfection, this bold holiday drink can be enjoyed any time of the year.
- 1 Cup of Strong-Brewed Coffee or 2 shots of Espresso (We recommend JAVATINO French Roast or Cuba Joe’s Espresso.)
- 2 Tbsp of Caramel Syrup
- 1 Cup of Milk (or milk substitute)
- 2 Tbsp of Sweetener (sugar, brown sugar, honey)
- 1 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder
- Whipped Cream
- ⅛ Tsp of Sea Salt
Brew 2 shots of espresso, or one cup of strong-brew coffee. In a saucepan, warm the milk over medium-heat and once steamy, froth milk using a whisk or French Press. Pour coffee or espresso into mug and add in cocoa powder, sweetener and caramel syrup to taste. Top with frothed milk and a pinch of sea salt. In a more decadent mood? Add on whipped cream and extra caramel drizzle! Serve with fresh spice cookies or ginger muffins.
Holiday Honey Coffee
This delicious coffee was inspired by a traditional Spanish latte, and adds a sweet touch to any holiday gathering.
- 2 cups hot strong brewed coffee (We recommend JAVATINO French Roast.)
- ½ cup whole milk (or milk substitute)
- ¼ cup honey
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- Dash of ground nutmeg
Combine the coffee, milk, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat in small saucepan, but do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into mugs and enjoy! Serves up to four. Pair it with coffee cake or rugelach for a special Hanukkah treat.
Peppermint Mocha Latte
This heavenly blend is sure to bring back holiday memories. And don’t forget to save a cup for Santa!
- 2 Cups of Strong Brewed Coffee (We recommend JAVATINO Sumatra FTO.)
- ½ Cup of Milk (or milk substitute)
- 3 Tbsp of Sugar
- 1 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder
- 1 Oz of Bittersweet Chocolate (finely chopped)
- 2 Drops of Peppermint Oil
- Crushed Peppermint Sticks
Slowly heat coffee and ¼ cup of milk (or milk substitute) in a saucepan. Add sugar, cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate and cook for 4 minutes, stirring frequently until all ingredients are melted and blended. Add 2 drops of peppermint oil. Pour hot coffee mixture into 4-6 mugs. Warm remaining ¼ cup milk over low-medium heat. Using a whisk or blender, froth milk until foamy. Top each mug with the frothed milk and sprinkle with crushed peppermint. Serve with gingerbread cookies.
